MT opinions on next car...
Just interested in your thoughts
(keano-esk thread)My car will be going mid march and when i get back from the states in mid april i will need a replacement... Any car i get will have coilovers, wheels and an exhaust fitted hence the pictures... I drive a 60 mile round trip to work each day but often use my girlfriends 206... Top 3 options Blob eye scoob 03-05 Would look to spend circa 12k on a JDM import (twin scroll turbo). Fair few floating around with Litchfield handling pack (which includes AST coilovers). Lots of scope to tune but high insurance costs, wank mpg and not sure on the image... ![]() 350z 2006 about 13.5k on a facelift car with GT pack. Like the look and sound a lot. The facelift is 300bhp but being n/a theres not a lot of options to radically improve performace with going F.I. Insurance isnt that bad, mpg is bearable (just) and you dont see many about... ![]() 135i 2007 Circa 23k but would be on BMW Select (PCP) so would be tied to the finance. Like the looks and the engine. A lot of scope for tuning and would have a little bit of bm warranty. Good mpg considering 300bhp and insurance/tax is good as well. May be a tad boring but dropping it and putting a loud pipe on it should help... ![]() driven a 350z and liked it a lot... driven uk scoob and although I liked it a lot too... anything really decent I may of overlooked feel free to share... (although not looking for another mini ) |

I love the scoobies esp the blob eyes the Z also wins on a lot of levels and can rock some epic stance
not a fan of the 1 though to plain imo, the Z and the scoob both have nice noises and a lot of character

scooby, I know they say you need to have an alfa to be a petrolhead. but i think everyone needs to have owned a jap rally slag too,
so go for the scooby, bollocks to the image, they're a damn good car, or why not look at an evo, that money would get you an 8, no image problems with them |

I like threads like this
![]() E46 M3 slammed to feck (black or white) Blob-Eye in black, no boot spoiler (much more subtle) S2000 in black All of the above with your normal impecable taste in alloyed circles ![]() & yep I do like black cars ![]() I think this car is a bmw, does that help with your decision ? Are fuel costs an issue?

the 4.5k services for the evo are a bit of a deal breaker...
I would be worried about reliability of the M3's getting to 50k plus miles... S200 just doesnt do it for me! rjodwyer, thats my only worry about the z, but the looks and sound keep making me look again! |

A scoob or a 350z won't do that but the scoob will at least be cheap enough compared to a 1er that you can afford to fuel and mod it.
