TSW Adj' drop links - my new purchase

http://www.txwerks.com/servlet/Detail?no=5

Just ordered a set of F AND R , and a TSW engine damper .

Felt the need for the drop links as it's so low now the angle of the ball joint is extreme and must be putting strain on the AR bar so stopping it doing it's proper job - Am I right ?

Seemed like a good idea

Will do Ant.

I am waiting on a price for some H + R anti roll bars so will also be able to compare it to them too vs std AR bars

Sure you'll be fine - It was a rash decision ( but it sounded logical ) last night whilst looking for an engine mount - you know how it is !

I did pretty much the same thing, although ended up putting the Alta end links on (worked out pretty cheap but the service was very poor, I forget the name of the website but its that one that everyone said looked well dodgy and wouldn't order anything from it ). With hindsight i'd have gone for the same end links that you have

I went for the front and rear H-Sport ARBs (through fomsport) got the 25mm hollow rear and the 27mm front. I plan to set the KW v3s up pretty softly so i get the comfort and the tight handling

BTW Redline mag this month was top notch (i took out a subscription last month), lots of really good info in it. The one thing they are sadly lacking is a feature on a hardcore mini, would be good to get Jove's featured (they mentioned the dorset tuner in last months edition when talking about tuning minis...sounds like they could do with a chat with a proven mini tuner )

sorry for going way off topic, i just wanted to write this down before i forgot all about it

IMHO they're only worth having on a car which gets tracked. The real benefit being the ability to dialout pre-load in a car properly setup with cornerweighted coilovers. I didn't do this properly, with the inside rear corner being light and preloaded which probably contributed to me spinning into the tyre wall at Oulton Park

I got these, think I paid 345 new off an eBay seller. I needed them because my car being based on a Mini One only had a small roll bar up front and none in the rear. If I was doing it again, I'd run a standard R53 bar in the front and a rear bar with sliding adjustment like the Ireland Engineering or Ultrik ones.
Whatever you choose, get them setup properly of you're going to track it.
