Don't think shiney bits void warranty

I just took mine in and they backed up what Paul had told me when I was down there for a dyno run and comp/leakdown test

paul was happy with the compression results in the sense there was nothing untoward. i guess i just have an engine that naturally isn't that strong.

Maybe that is so. You would expect more leakage if your engine was not healthy

just posting an update:-
so far things discovered:-
my horn doesn't work!(not used it for a while so never realised!)
front silencer on miltek exhaust needs replacing (under warranty)
my koni fsd's are defective - making excessive noise (which i thought were coming from control arms!) going to see if can swing a replacement next week under warranty(i bought them second hand, koni's rep's in spain at mo)
cam timing may be out or just not a very good cam - probable cause of low end torque as engine is sound - may also be reason why the compression testing figures were lower than normal. i've heard newman cams recommended by quite a few people = may need to get one of them.?the same as the 1320auto cam???

outstanding issue - what to do about high IATs and engine leaning out. ordered GRS which may arrive sooner than expected. had a chat with a guy from red dot racing who bought a supercharger (ported grey coat) from me today (he's experimenting with it) who says my 380cc injectors may not be at maximum capacity, so may just need the fuel map remapped??does this make sense? he also said consider a 15/17% pulley....

I like Adams drug addict comment on Mini2, very fitting to the case. If you could afford it why not try a 17% and see how it feels before deciding to support the addict

haha batou....well, i have a spare supercharger teflon coated brand new & a 17% pulley to go on it (hint hint), but i may as well get the maximum life span out of the present one. As the pulley on the present supercharger is impossible to remove without cutting it off - it's on that tight!, i may as well use it till it dies. but i will get things that i would have whether the car has a 17% or 19% pulley. like the GRS intercooler for example (....although i hear GRS are researching something similar to what adam is doing with intercoolers with a fan etc....)
i'm going to get the fuel map reviewed and see if my injectors are at their maximum capacity when leaning out or if the map's wrong - someone mentioned it's worth looking at this - i'm not sure if paul/chris can tell me. if injuectors are at max capacity i'll def get 450cc injectors from (*********?do they supply 1320 & gtt?) and a remap. then i will ride my luck! i've never had a car engine go on me or break down (touch wood)

it's been an interesting experience, i should do a thread on all the claims made by all the tuners about other tuners (5 out 8 in total i've spoken too) i've spoken to and then get people to vote "true/false" in a poll.(obviously keeping tuners names anonymous) 3 tuners didn't criticise directly/indirectly other tuners.
