Carbon Fiber fabric dash wrap.
Hey there.
I'm new to the mini community. I picked up an 04 a little over a month ago. I love it. I don't post too often over here, but wanted to share what i did recently. I wrapped my dashboard in carbon fiber fabric. Questions everyone asks: -Its a fiber weave fabric pressed to a black fabric backing. -I don't know if it is real CARBON fiber. It is identical to the new m3's dry carbon finish, in look and touch. -It's a bit strechy. -I purchased this from a local dealer. (sort of) -It costs about $35 a square yard. -I used less than one square yard, including quite a few disasters. -It adheres using 3M spray glue. "90" works best. -I have heard it stands up to exterior use. (motorcycle seat on a daily driven, parked in the sun/rain) To get your own, I recommend contacting NeffyWrap. (neffywrap.com) as far as i know- they are out of stock. EMAIL THEM THOUGH. they will happily refer you to one of their distributors who does have it in stock. Here's my dashboard: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() any shiny spots are just sweaty finger prints, it was about 95 degrees outside when i got done. thoughts? |
