Why don't you rent a garage somewhere nearby? Sounds like car park is going to cause you a lot more trouble and money in the future.

Who was it that told you to switch the voice off on your alarm?
The folk that run the Uni car park? Well, the first thing you should do when you get your car back after the respray is TURN the voice on your alarm back ON! Then if you get any complaints from the folk that run the car park or the uni again then tell them that you WONT be turning the voice back off unless they can guarantee the safety of your car while it is there. If they tell you that "your car is left there at your own risk" then you should be telling them that you'll be leaving the voice on as it is a feature of the alarm that minimises the risk to your car. If your car is a 'stand out' car while it's sitting in the car park then I think you are going down the best route of just getting the door resprayed the same colour. Doing something crazy colourwise will only bring more attention to your car - Particularly from the knob who keyed it in the first place. You could bet that he'd do the same thing again.

Out of interest mate, which uni are you at?
I'm in my first year at Nottingham, and might be bringing my Cooper up next year as my accomodation for 10/11 will have underground parking.. however.. I'd be interested to know if anyone else has had the same problem at Uni.. I really won't have the money to get the car resprayed! Cheers |
