all I can say is I hope this thread doesnt turn out as big as the 'what mods have you done this week' thread.
Although, to contribute - my rocker arms were ticking like a bitch so armed with some spanners and a phone I tackled it and the nois has gone ![]()

I havent had a great week with my R53. Bearing in mind that it was serviced in late April, I though the engine was making a slight tapping sound of late which wasnt good. On closer inspection I checked the dip-stick.........nothing not even a little dot on the bottom. I shot up to Halfords and bought 1L 5w 30 Castrol Edge which should be enough, oh no......only after a whole litre is there a spec of oli on the dip. Back into Halfords and aother £15.49 later it has taken another 1/2 a liter to get halfway up the dipstick. The good news is that the tapping noise has now gone.

Driving in to work this morning (25 degrees @ 8am) and a yellow warning light came on...
![]() Place your bets, what does it mean? I hope the new cat isn't playing up.

The cat could be fine and pass emissions but the light may come on - some country's ecu configuration mean that the car is stricter with thresholds - as mynes found out
