What has gone wrong with your car this week?

Over the last 7 days:

Airbag light illuminated
Cooling Fan not working
Power Steering fan siezed
Central locking failure
Total loss of engine coolant
Random issues with drivers side electric window

My Mini adventure is starting to becoming rather expensive

all I can say is I hope this thread doesnt turn out as big as the 'what mods have you done this week' thread.

Although, to contribute - my rocker arms were ticking like a bitch so armed with some spanners and a phone I tackled it and the nois has gone

What clutch are you going and whats the cost? Mine is about to expire!

I havent had a great week with my R53. Bearing in mind that it was serviced in late April, I though the engine was making a slight tapping sound of late which wasnt good. On closer inspection I checked the dip-stick.........nothing not even a little dot on the bottom.

I shot up to Halfords and bought 1L 5w 30 Castrol Edge which should be enough, oh no......only after a whole litre is there a spec of oli on the dip. Back into Halfords and aother £15.49 later it has taken another 1/2 a liter to get halfway up the dipstick. The good news is that the tapping noise has now gone.

My driverside window keeps jamming in the up position... A couple of thumps above the front speaker does release it though... A new window motor will be required shortly...

Driving in to work this morning (25 degrees @ 8am) and a yellow warning light came on...

Place your bets, what does it mean? I hope the new cat isn't playing up.

My clutch is dying slowly, the aircon has pretty much packed up too. When its on there is this really horrible grinding type noise. Oh, and a nice simple one, coilpack needs replacing.

The cat could be fine and pass emissions but the light may come on - some country's ecu configuration mean that the car is stricter with thresholds - as mynes found out
