    Post Tyres & Sat Nav

I have just fitted some Toyo 215/40/18 to my R53. The profile of the tyres looks too big compared to the 205/40/18 Bridgestone's that I've just taken off. Would I of been better off going for a 215/35/18?, if so would the ride be compromised?
Also my R53 has the factory sat nav in the centre. I prefer the speedo in the centre and the single rev counter set up on the steering column. Is it possible to do a conversion? If so what's involved regarding wiring etc?

You would have been better off ditching the 18s altogether

For the sat nav swap. It is possible but I ended up with a load of warning lights on the dash so i just swapped them back. I replaced the standard screen with an lcd screen with HDMI input and used an android stick as the input. Couldn't get GPS or the touchscreen to work with it though

The wheels are the jcw 18's, so I'm not ditching them.
I thought changing the sat nav would be a non starter but thanks anyway

They may be JCW 18's, but they're heavy ass 18's which are making your ride and handling numb and unresponsive.

You don't need to go as cute as 15's just some lighter 16's or 17's with non-runflats will improve things no end.

    And then of course coilovers...

I've just put non runflats on and the ride has improved no end. The Potenza's were driving me mad!

What's more worrying is that Toyo are still making them! That and they're more expensive than rainsports!

I've just put a set on because I couldn't afford michelins although I wish I had gone for a 35 profile instead of a 40.
