Question Painted Aero Body Kit (R53) from www.minisport.com ?

Hi there all,
Looking at spending over a thousand pounds at Minisport.com on an aero body kit (half of this money will go on postage to Australia)
Question is, has anyone dealt with them and their products? They are very friendly, but I wanted to know if anyone has bought any of their genuine aero body kit parts ?
The quality of the paint/colour match is my main concern (I mean overall, 600 odd pounds for a genuine complete painted aero kit seems very cheap) some other uk websites are selling the whole kit in primer for 800-850 pounds !!
Any thoughts or experiences would be great

I would check that they have your colour as they didnt have very many... if they dont then they have said to me in the past that they can paint over what kit they do have with what colour you want... not ideal IMO...

I never actually bought from them in the end....

Why not use the MT Members discount with Rybrook Stratford in the preferred suppliers section? That way you know you're getting it all brand new, from the dealer.

Not a clue as to whether or not they'd ship to Australia...but it doesn't hurt to ask Drop them an email

The only reason why it wouldn't match would be if you had a rec car for example that's say a 2003 build and been out in the sun lots down under, then obviously some slight fade might have occured on your car. In strong sunlight on mine sometimes this is evident. Must also have something to do with the fact its onto a plastic rather than metal too.

Why don't you get it from your local BMW dealer? I got mine there and it worked out way cheaper if you include the shipping from Europe.

The ones they have are the original BMW ones so the match will be spot on! But as has been said they only have a few colors left, so you are lucky if you get one in your color! Enjoy it!

I guess so, although jo bloggs from down the road may be a bit careless, not mixing those little drops of paint 100%, cause he's just shipping off the parts, and doesn't have to make sure it matches to somethin.. (call me paranoid.. but if it doesn't match, repainting will cost $$$)

Definately not!! The aero kit here in Australia is approximately $3500.00 in primer (just under 2000 pounds) and painted it blows out to around $4750.00
(just over 2600 pounds, plus the fitting if one is not capable) Mini dealerships are raking it in over here
So the way I look at it, yes I'm paying 600 pounds postage, but its still slightly less than half price landed, than buying here

they bought them as a job lot when the R53 production ended as they were spares that mini wanted to off load

these have never been through a dealer so to speak they were painted at the factory and then bought direct buy minisport
