Talking Overboost!!!

Anyone else getting this at the moment with it being cold?

I seem to be tripping off the traction control at WOT in 3rd/4th (and it won't switch back on) I guess this means its hitting the max manifold pressure right?

Yeah i got this the other day after a propper hard thrash back chasing a mate of mine in his MCS! lol

But my emissions light illuminated up aswell for some reason? And when i turned the engine off and started it again the traction control light went out but the emissions stayed lit up???? A quick look on the scan gauge showed 2 fault codes that i didnt understand so i deleted them! lol

Do you remember what fault codes came up. I keep getting the same thing with the emissions engine light at the moment. I plugged my car into my friends Snapon tablet and it only bought up my p0108 code due to the pulley, i deleted that and there was nothing else yet there was clearly an engine management light on my dash???

It has nothing to do with the boost, that doesn't cause the DSC light.

If you overboost it causes a check engine light you throw a code and the car goes into limp mode.

Mine has done it a couple of times on the dyno 16%+2% combo and 8k redline

thats the exact issue we're having over here..

its the Tmap sensor right?'

I hjad as Lee said P0420 and that was my Map sensor and lambda sensor which were fucked up... so im guessing P0108 is map sensor only??

what about the dsc light? what did u do to reset it? he's got a stock Cat, grs and 17% KMT.... stock red line...

strange no?

It does indeed. But hitting the limiter with a bad CAT or De-CAT can cause it to go into limp mode too. Mine used to do it a lot if I thrashed it.

Too much boost cause the DSC Switch Off 'cause of too much torque and P0108
