I'm the only one with this type as far as I know. Others have smaller cages that only need boulting down in existing holes in the back where mine needs welding in the back. These cages are therefore smaller and the back cross is more to the front.
The type of 'sport-cage' that I have leaves more space inside and weight distribution is a little better because the heavy cross is more to the back.
But it was a lot of work to get it in the car.
The cage has cost me 500 Euros but normal price is 900 Euros.
The Dutch company where I got one from has seven more willing to sell them voor 500 Euro but that's without shipping which is difficult ofcourse. They were planning on setting up a Dutch Mini racing series a few years back but MINI pulled the plug at the last moment so he only started with 4 Coopers.
